Hello Isabelle

You are misreading what I wrote about teaching a technique that allows the
student own quality to come to the fore. No two voice are alike. One of
the major mistakes made in voice teaching is training a voice to sound like
the teachers or similar to some well known singer of a day and time.

To put is another way. A singer with a good technique can sound like many
other singers. But a singer so trained would prefer to sound like
themselves
