Hello Isabelle

The sound of Richard Miller's students is individual and unique for each
student because his primary interest is in developing a functionally
efficient vocal technique. Although the principles of the technique are
very much the same for all of his students there is little attempt to
"make" a certain predetermined tone quality. Miller is interested in the
process of learning to sing. For him, the product will alway be a quality
one, and an individual one if the the process toward technique is of
primary concern.

For this reason, he sings very little in his lessons and never suggests that
a student imitate him.

Hope this helps some.

Regards
