According to Jo Estill's research, falsetto uses thin folds with stiff
edges and the arytenoids adjust to create a slanted plane of the
folds--lifted posteriorly (is that a word) . The sound feels and sounds
disembodied--sosrt of not quite attached to the singer whereas head
voice does feel connected and perhaps less hooty. Does this sound
reasonable all you men who have experienced both? Anne
