Nancy (and everyone else)-

Thank you for pointing this out!!!!! I truly believe that most teachers are not
"bad", but that their styles of teaching do not fit with their students'. I
have had teachers who have fabulous reputations and wonderful students, but who
couldn't do a thing for me (unfortunately to the point of them telling me that
it was my own problem, that I shouldn't be a singer - this is "bad"). In the
years since, I have discovered teachers who really "speak" to my way of
learning. I also believe that one can only teach what one has learned. So, if
a teacher him/herself didn't learn to sing in an intellectual way, he/she will
never be able to teach a student in that way.

Matthew - This certainly is NOT your fault. It is not a fault at all, just a
mis-communication. The mis-communication may be fixable, or it may not, in
which case you should look for another teacher. This is exactly the reason why
I am ALWAYS skeptical of methods or teachers to say they have "all" the answers
... that they will work with EVERY singer or EVERY student. Impossible!

My 2 cents (maybe more like 10 cents).

Lisa-Marie
