Lisa-Marie,

Just a quick addition to you and to Lloyds very
excellent posting. I have always found that students
or singers who opened the mouth wide on high notes
either sounded under force or strained, or generally
sang as flat as pancakes. Two singers that spring to
mind are Rosalind Plowright and Jessye Norman.
