I always interpreted this more as a drunken old lush in the tavern singing
about how he was once a beautiful swan. Been a long time since I performed
CB, so I might be mistaken.

For Kenneth, the solo part is only one aria, although it can really be a
show stopper if done well. The major solo parts are for baritone and
soprano.
