For an opera singer, that depends on the type of voice you are, and the period
of music
chosen. Many arias in the Prima Donna Anthology (the Brown Book) fall in that
category
for a soprano.

In art song, Schubert's "Erlkoenig" falls in that category, both for singer and
pianist.
In this song, the challenge for the singer is he/she must vocally protray 4
distinct
characters in the space of a few minutes. For a pianist, it's incredibly hard
to play
those fast repeated triplet octaves cleanly, clearly and keep one's arm from
falling off!
