I know there are so many well informed opera doyens and doyennes,
so I thought I'd ask a few opera auditioning questions.

1. Is there a URL for the Met opera regional auditions?
What is the deadline for applying? What's the age
cut-off for men and women?

2. Is it true that the Met Opera and NYC Opera
have weekly auditions?

http://yourtype.com/survive/did_you_know.htm

Says "just about anybody can audition" for both companies,
but then tells opera hopefuls to call. Are these
auditions for supernumerary jobs? Speaking roles?
Or comprimario roles?

3. The LA Opera put a casting notice in Back Stage West,
the local trade paper for actors. It said that
all roles were open. Do regional opera houses
really hold open auditions for everyone and anyone
to show up and yodel?

4. Are you having a good day?

Best!
