Judy,
I quite agree! As far as I'm concerned, any sort of
musician, actor, dancer etc is merely a tool for the
composer, writer, choreographer, whatever!
As a singer you are guided by the dots on the page and
give them the attention they deserve.
I would never put myself before the music, and would
never let my students do either!
