(Maybe I'll pass this along to my faithful Indian companion. After seeing
my critically-praised performance as the Old Lady in "Candide," he teased me
with "You are OLD LADY. Your life is OVER!")

(He's really a sweet guy, and I did miss him last month when he was off
visiting his parents in Mumbai.)

I think gasoline should cost 49 cents a gallon. No, darn it, make that 29
cents a gallon! Also the gas-station attendants should pump it for you. And
when you get home, you should be able to watch Milton Berle on your Philco
