The way these terms were explained to me is; Misuse is just what it says,
misusing the voice. It can be anything that is not comfortable or healthy,
for ex. habitually speaking in an unhealthy pitch range for your instrument.
Over time misuse can become abuse. Abuse can also be more violent use of the
voice like yelling, speaking very harshly, making harsh sound effects.
Overuse is talking or singing in an acceptable way, just for too long. I
tend to think of too loud as falling under the abuse category. Hope this
helps some. It really means what it says. They are general terms that can
fit most difficulties.
