A friend of mine had a book called something like "Stop committing voice
suicide." It's a small paperback book and I think it deals with the
speaking voice as much as anything else. But based on the discussions on
this list about finding "true" voices and such, this book might be
interesting to many people.
I think it's available from many of the on-line vendors.
