I smoked pot jusy once. I found that I lost an octave off the top of my
voice. It sounded as if the cords would not approximate. In other words, I am
saying that while fluid, in the best of circumstances, doesn't go anywhere
near your vocal cords, fumes can and do and they will affect the sound.
About the ice cream coming in contact with the vocal cords. It doesn't.
A friend of mine had his mother in the hospital. She had had a minor stroke,
fell and broke her hip. She had surgery for her hip. She had a feeding tube
down her throat. A stupid nurse or attendant changed the tube and put it
back, down her wind pipe. In such a case, ice cream could have come in
contact with the vocal cords. This poor woman died, of course.
