Lloyd, welcome! We're glad to see you here again; I
particularly missed your input during the
falsetto/chest discussions. Since you and I rarely
see exactly eye-to-eye on technical issues, your posts
are always fascinating to me!

I believe the most important thing do to, whether
Oulu/PeopleNet continue to host the Vocalist or it
switches to a private or educational host (like Dr.
Hanson's university) is to make sure we find everyone.

This temporary list accounts for only a fraction of
the original Vocalist. It was pulled together from
the addresses of those listers who had posted to the
Vocalist within the last few months before the system
crash. There were untold countless lurkers and
less-frequent posters who have been in the dark, so to
speak, since the system crash.

If the eventual word from Marko is that the Vocalist
will not be remounted in its previous form, all
efforts should be made to retreive some kind of master
list of all subscribers (passed, probably, from Marko
directly to the new system administrator, under all
oaths of secrecy to respect lurkers' privacy), so that
an email message can be sent to EVERYONE from the
original Vocalist when there is news to tell.
Unfortunately, there hasn't been a scream-fest on this
list simply because we're missing so many people and
our current group is so tiny.

I'd love it if a message directing people to this list
could be put up on the vocalist.org main page, if
possible, but I'm not sure what the status is with the
vocalist.org domain at the moment.

I guess we'll wait for Karen's word on the subject.

Isabelle B.
