Hi,

Sorry I have taken so much time to get back to you. I can't remember all of what
the teacher did for the student in question, except I do remember she suggested
singing lying on the floor because I think the Tenor in question found it easier
to focus on his body in this position.

Obviously this would have a limited use. It could be somewhere for you to start
however. Maybe you need help from a teacher who has had a fair bit of experience
with remedial singers with this one.

Having said that it hasn't prevented the Tenor in question from getting work.
Some people sound fantastic no matter what they are doing.

Good Luck
Deborah

It was me who mentioned the problem of wrong breathing or as Deborah
called it reverse breathing. I've worked out that I have the same
problem one of the singers had tha Deborah described. I let them stomach
in when breathing in and bulge out when exhaling. Strange but true, but
I tend to do so only when standin upright not lying down . The same
happens when I sing.
I wonder if Deborah or anyone could direct me to sume helpful soures on
the Net concerning the problem or at least goive me advice how to kill
this old habit of mine. Thanks
