Hi, This is general advice only you should really work with a teacher in these things. Try placing your hands on your waist before you breath in and let your waist be quite "spongy" with a relaxed throat chest and body and good posture you should feel the area around your waist expand. You will probably feel like your not doing much and you shouldn't hear any air go in. Try not to suck air as this sometimes creates tension. Also you shouldn't feel tight after the breath. Try not to take huge breathes and then hold them before singing as this also creates tension. Hope this helps.
