I did that for a wedding, and I have a really hard time with the
inappropriateness of the text, which is literally: Daddy, I love him - let
me have him or I will throw myself into the Arno River - I want to die! Have
pity. YUCK. I have just as much trouble with having "Beauty and the Beast"
for a wedding. For Chrissakes, who's the beauty and who's the beast???
If someone really wants the Puccini tune, hire a violinist and make it an
instrumental solo. Singing it is so wrong!!!
