Randy

No, you are not taught to love classical music. You are taught the skills
necessary to allow you to. You are taught to speak so you can communicate
through the spoken word. You are taught to read so that you can love
literature. And you are taught what classical music is, how it sounds, etc.
from an early age to allow you to love it. God forbid that in this
immediate satisfaction world someone should ever get deeper enjoyment out of
something that needs time and effort to appreciate at its fullest. Surely
we should just all be sitting back and saying to the arts world "Pander to
me." I think NOT.
