Subject:  Children's Voice Class Repertoire

Dear List,

As of this semester I am teaching a group voice class for children. I have
three girls, 2 of them 9 years old and one is 11. All are very much beginners,
2 have lovely voices and one doesn't match pitch....sigh. Kenneth Phillips'
TEACHING KIDS TO SING has become my new best friend!

Anyway, I would like to find a collection of folksongs or really anything that
would be appropriate to use as literature in this class. I have a lot of
children's music but am interested in seeing what else is out there, especially
something that would appeal to these girls and not seem to babyish.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

Leslie
