I suspect the sore throats you have had were actually allergic or chemical
sensitivity and the Nasonex has stopped your reaction to the irritants. By
reducing the local inflammatory response your immune system is more able to
fight viral infections thus reducing the number of colds you get.

It did not "fix" your deviated septum but by reducing the swelling of the
membranes, more air may pass, making it feel as though it is fixed.
