Lloyd,

I forgot to answer this.

I view falsetto as the lightest possible male voice usually in the
upper range.

Head voice is when the chest voice quality is "added" to the
falsetto tone.

With work, I think the entire singing voice can be produced in
the "head voice." I think the speaking voice should NEVER be used
in singing (unless one speaks with a mixture of head and chest
voice - as some people do).

Also with work, I think one can start a tone in the falsetto, then
add the chest voice quality to such a degree that the tone is very
resonant, then decrescendo until the chest voice is again detached
from the tone. There is a continuum here, but I think the singer
senses a separateness from the functions while performing this
exercise.
