Subject:  Enrollment Drop After 9/11/01

I have been wondering how many teaching in the USA have experienced drops in
enrollment since 9/11. The enrollment at the studio where I teach was at around
700 in 2001-2002, but fell to 243 for 2002-2003. The economy here is pretty
bad. Major employers are announcing large lay-offs weekly in the local papers.
This undoubtedly will effect our students' finances and eventually will have an
impact on our own.

My colleague in Michigan has reported to me that her enrollment is way down, but
she hopes it will soon head back up again. I'd be interested to hear how others
are faring in these tense times.
