Along the same vein, if the student is taking any allergy medication,
this could cause her to feel the need to swallow frequently as it can dry
out the throat. And post nasal drip can certainly prompt the need to
clear one's throat. My problem was alleviated somewhat when my doctor
switched me to an allergy medication with a smaller dosage that I take
twice a day vs. once a day. I've also had some relief from taking Nettle
& Slippery Elm Bark supplements but can only take them once a day because
if I take them more frequently, I itch...as with all supplements, any
allergic reactions should be considered.
