I have a minidisk recorder and I've been very happy with it.... thank you for
reminding me of my new year's resolution - start taping my practice sessions! I
have the equipment.

Greetings and Happy Holidays to all!

I'm looking for a device to record my practice sessions and was
wondering if anyone has suggestions. I've been using my MP3 recorder,
but the mic stinks (anything above F is terribly distorted) and there's
no jack for an external mic. I'm looking for something that makes
decent recordings (I don't need professional quality) but is compact
enough to tote to my lessons; I'd also consider an external microphone.
I've heard minidisc recorders are good but know nothing about them.

So, if any of you have had good experience with a recording device,
please let me know the make and model. As always, thanks for your help!

Again, best wishes for a happy holiday season!

Rachel
