Ruggero Raimondi: RECITAL (on Elektra/Asylum) - one of the best renderings
of Tosti's "L'ultima canzone" I've heard from any singer; also several
other songs by Tosti, Brogi, Denza, and Rotoli, all interpreted
wonderfully by Raimondi's warm, dark baritone voice.
Enrico Caruso: IN SONG - Volumes 1 and 2 (on Nimbus/Prima Voce) - mostly
Italian songs, but also features some goodies like "Over There" by George
M. Cohan and "Ombra mai fu" from Handel's SERSE (Vol. 1). Vol. 2 is all
Italian songs.
