Holding your nose is effective in determining if you're nasal or not. Of course, on any word including nasal consonants ("n," "ng" or "m"), you will feel nasal resonance, because that's where those consonants live. You shouldn't feel anything on any other vowels or consonants.

Hi. I've read this list for a while, but this is my first post.
I've read on this group that you should be able to hold your nose closed and sing, and not feel any vibrations (or any difference in tone.) I take this to mean you shouldn't feel *any* vibrations, although I'm not sure.
