No. direpurple received the responses he did in large part due to his
statement, in his very first post, with a yelling subject (capital
letters), that he didn't have time for lessons. If he had simply
asked some questions he might have gotten some sugggestions about how
to improve his singing. But his statement that he didn't have time
for lessons seemed to me, and obviously to others as well, to be a
significant part of his post, too important to be ignored.
