Good point, but there are bad opera singers making tons of money too, I've
worked with them professionally in chicago synphony chorus. Natalie Cole is
good, Beyonce Knowles is good, Stevie Wonder is good, Annie Lennox is good at
times as is Kate Bush. Joni Mitchell was good before smoking killed her
voice, gospel singer veronica petruci is good, barbra streisand is good,
Peter Cetera has good registration but no vibrato, Tamara sings well as does
Anita Baker. Cindi Lauper makes some strange sounds but is not bad, and
Madonna has actually sung well (at times) on her last 2 cds. Eva Cassidy is
very good. A young rising star Mona Jethmalani is good (you can hear her on
my website and others) A friend of mine, Tom McKinney who won the met in the
early 70s and had a successful opera career, used to take lessons after
Minnie Ripperton and said she was the best singer he's ever heard.

A lot of what you call yelling if it's above e five is actually head but with
a longer closed phase and purer vowels, you just don't know what to make of
it.
