Why is it the same old trite widespread skewed view still holds, according
to which the use of any new tool must cast a doubt over its user's ability
to do without it?
Amplification would thus make up for poor singing.
But conversely, one's unwired singing skills meeting at length scepticism in
a wired world, one should strive all the more to prove them, which in turn
cannot but raise the average belcanto acceptability threshold...
Bless amplification after all! For it giveth us both sides of the story:
quality power singing where still in demand, and a host of none the duller
softer colours only close miking can capture.
