Subject:  MED: Cortisone and leukemia

Cortisone and other steroids do not cause leukemia or any other cancer.
Please do not confuse anecdotal reports of temporal association with
causation.

Chronic steroid use can cause osteoporosis, adrenal insufficiency,
trunkal obesity, acne, striae (stretch marks), reduced immunity, ulcers,
muscle weakness but not cancer. Even short term use in singers can mask
vocal injury allowing further damage which is why if used, they should
be supervised by a physician with experience with singers.
