has it ever been suggested that callas may have lost her weight in a
very unhealthy fashion (anorexia, bulimia, etc.) and that it was this that
caused her vocal difficulties or, at least, contributed significantly to
them? that's just an 'out of the blue' guess, of course. what is the gist
of the chapter?
