There is a video tape put out by the Bel Canto Society called Tenors of the 78 Era (Thanks to Karen for reminding me of the name).
There are two lovely songs that Gigli sings on the tape on which he appears (Tape #1), the titles of which songs are shown on screen as subtitles but the composer's names are omitted.
I'm wondering if any of you might be able to help me find out who wrote these two. One is called, "Il primo amor sei tu" (this one is particularly lovely), and the other is called, "Tu sei la vita mia (1936).
There is a third he sings with the composer's name: "Apri la tua finestra" by Mascagni.
