Dear list,
My mezzo-friend and I have been 'hired' to sing at a reception in
honor of the retirement of our minister and state-secretary of
Health, Welfare and Sport. Which is quite an honor!
(Well, I do work for them.....)
We'll be singing during the entry of the guests, before the official
part starts. Which means that we will have a 'moving' audience, who
will not necessarily stay put to 'enjoy the show'.
We do have duets in our rep by Purcell, Rossini (petite messe
solennelle) and the obvious flower-duet from Lakme.
In addition to my own search for appropriate duets, do any of you
have any ideas???
(My soprano has an easy top, her mezzo is quite light)
