david,

by the criteria you have outlined, i can't help feeling that burt
lahr, as the cowardly lion, might have scored pretty high.

the only singer i have ever known who could be lazier about posture
than i, is haijing fu, a wonderful singer. what makes him a wonderful
singer? the sound of his voice and what he does with it. while i
compliment you on your desire to find objective standards, singing is an art.
how else could so many charlatans do so well in our business?

i say, go on the sounds and the artistry and trust yourself to make
the right judgment.

mike
