Subject:  Classical Singer

Gotta jump in on this.

As someone in the best of years, who came up with out Classical Singer,
the Papalos book, and other career aids, I must defend my colleagues at
CS. This is a fine publication! Thought certainly my young days were
over when it began publishing, I have learned a lot from it and had I
known some of that when I was younger, I might have had an easier time
of it. Now that I am older, I see that the philosophy that was held by
some in the field--"Those who are meant to know will find out!"--was so
unfair.

If a person has good practical knowledge of the field which can be
gained from any source--including a magazine--, enough money to live on
with the basics taken care of, good coaching and smart technically sound
teaching, one might have to realize that one has the opportunity to fail
on one's own, via lack of determination or simply lack of talent.
