when you say "bottom-up approach", i get the feeling you are talking about a philosophy of education not an approach to working on the voice, is that right? if so, what the hell does it mean?
as long as you're going off on people for not reading what you wrote (i think it's just a matter of not understanding what you wrote), while i prefer to use a simple, plain method to approach singing, i am not opposed to using neurological 'triggers' to help singers (in fact, i use rubber bands to teach legato, quite often). i am not opposed to using neurological 'triggers' to finding 'head voice'. our disagreement is; whether used as a trigger or method, i think using nasals to find 'head voice' sucks, most of the time. however, i will use it to help if it can.
i have made an effort to review your points (except for the really long, boring ones) in case you were correct in thinking i had misinterpreted them. now, do me the same favor. go back and read my original post that got you off on all of this. you missed my point.
