for funerals. Afterall, funerals are usually very short notice and I'm often
left scrounging for music or singing something very standard. What would be
a great set of songs to have on tap for this? I would think this would be
useful to present to a funeral director when looking for work, as well. >>

Things I sing often:

Lord's Prayer
On Eagle's Wings
Be Not Afraid
Amazing Grace
Any setting of Psalm 23 (The Lord is my Shepherd)
In the Garden
Battle Hymn of the Republic (especially for a veteran)
How Great Thou Art
Ave Maria

And sometimes I get requests for the deceased's songs, which can be unusual,
but for some reason, even if they don't seem appropriate, they don't usually
bother me given the circumstances. These have included:

Somewhere, My Love
Look for the Silver Lining
Harbor Lights

Christine Thomas
Mezzo-Soprano
Wauwatosa, WI
