there is always an element of joy, even in the saddest song, and vice versa. > I'm inclined to agree. In bittersweetness, there is the gamut of all which is represented in life. After all, think of the significance that vocal music is the medium being used at the funeral to communicate something poignant--certainly the man's life is more to be joyful about, perhaps, despite the circumstance of his death. Maybe you can focus on something positive or humorous about the person being honored and that might help you through the piece. --Erica
