Here are the steps to put music from an analog source onto a CD using
a Macintosh:

1) Record from the source onto the computer. You can use the FREE
program Coaster to do the recording. Get Coaster here:
http://www.visualclick.de/index.html

2) Convert the AIFF files that are created in step 1 into mp3 files
if you want to save space (i.e., put a lot of music on a single CD).

3) Use a CD burner to put the AIFF or mp3 files onto a CDR.

On a PC you'll need to find a recording program other than Coaster,
and instead of AIFF files the recording program will create WAV files.
