I thought of one more thing: If possible, sing your audition arias in
public several times before ever using them in audition. Do a recital, and
sing them. Arrange some concerts at nursing homes where you can sing them.
In short, get used to singing them in front of strangers. Never use an
audition as the place where you try out an aria in public for the first
time!
