Here's the short entry from the Biographical Dictionary of Musicians, (c) 1940,
originally compiled by Rupert Hughes, completely revised & newly edited by Deems
Taylor & Russell Kerr.

Watts, Wintter, b. Cincinnati, O., March 14, 1886; composer; studied painting
and
architecture, also singing in Florence, and theory with Goetschius; 1919, won
Loeb
Prize; c. (orch.) "Two Etchings"; incid. music to "Alice in Wonderland"; ballads
and
songs, some of them with orch., and the vocal cycles "Vignettes of Italy,"
"Wings of
Night," "Like Music on the Water."

Hope this helps a little,
Marje
