Watts, Wintter, b. Cincinnati, O., March 14, 1886; composer; studied painting and architecture, also singing in Florence, and theory with Goetschius; 1919, won Loeb Prize; c. (orch.) "Two Etchings"; incid. music to "Alice in Wonderland"; ballads and songs, some of them with orch., and the vocal cycles "Vignettes of Italy," "Wings of Night," "Like Music on the Water."
