Sorry to comment yet again; Moreschi did not sing arias, but church pieces, and ones of no great distinction. Farinelli he was not, but he is all we have left of a once great tradition. He was limited, too, by the size of the discs available for recording; single-sided, heavy shellac and variable pitch, and barely 4 minutes available on these early G & T recordings'
