Subject:  different length vocal folds, was; am i a tenor or, a mammal

dre, lauren, fellow vocalisters,

i don't remember if it were richard miller or jerome hines but, one of
them had a list of physical criteria that were distinct advantages for
singing (i'm thinking more that it was miller). one of the things he listed
was 'vocal folds of equal length'. it is hard for me to imagine that there
are too many people in the world with vocal folds of exactly equal length so,
i don't know how different their lengths would have to before there was a
noticeable difference.

i have only seen this (vocal folds of differing lengths) mentioned that
one time. i don't recall seeing in any of the other books i've read. and,
i don't recall the subject ever coming up on 'vocalist' before. dre, i'd be
curious to know how much of a study the singer you mentioned, made of this.
