I realize that a large number of you are based on the East Coast, but in
the hopes that there might be people on the West Coast who might be
interested, I post the following:

Lyric Opera of Los Angeles (LOLA) will hold auditions for its upcoming
May production of Mozart's "Die Entfuhrung aus dem Serail" (Abduction
from the Seraglio). This show is directed by LizBeth Lucca, with
musical direction by Robert Sage. Auditions to be held on Sunday,
January 20th from 12:30 - 4:30 pm.
We will be casting leads for 2 casts. 1st cast roles still to be filled
are: Belmonte (tenor), Osmin (Bass), and the 2 speaking roles of Selim
Pasha and Klaas (a boatsman). All 2nd cast roles (except Constanza) are
still open (Blonde - soprano, Belmonte - tenor, Pedrillo - tenor, Osmin,
Selim Pasha, Klaas). We will also be auditioning chorus members at this
time.
Please be prepared to sing one Mozart aria and one other aria of your
choice. An outstanding accompanist is provided, though you may bring
your own if you wish.
