Good questions. He just flat out does not make sounds in this range. He goes into a kind of monotone speaking on a low pitch. Yes! Below these pitches his tone is nice and full. Above them it is very light and falsettoish. His facial expression is the same throughout - he looks uncertain, regardless of whether he is matching the pitch or not.
