an exercise you can do for this feeling is to sing on 'bub', blowing your cheeks up like a puffer fish or, dizzy gillespie. sometimes, it even feels as if the air is going back down your throat. (despite the description, it is a pleasantly powerful singing and it makes vocalizing really high, fairly easy.)
