There are probably considerable cultural differences (concentration
time etc ...) but the a cappella group, and small opera groups that
I've sung with tend to aim for about 45 minutes for each half of the
concert.
For an individual recital I'd probably reduce that to 35 minutes,
assuming that there was a bit of 'fill' by way of introducing the pieces.

I'd feel pretty short changed as an audience member to pay say 7
pounds for a ticket and only hear an hour of music. That's not an
evening's entertainment, more of an aperitif; unless it was
really exceptional, which of course it will be :-)
