Well, that probably comes down to how good the teacher is. I work with about 70 students per week, and a good teacher will be able to accurately diagnose the situation and prescribe the right remedies for it. The student then needs to repeat the exercises (that they are able to do correctly without supervision) so the behavior becomes habitualized.
If a teacher needs a lot of time to find a way to fix a problem, their skills at diagnosing are probably not very good, or the student's problems so profound that they may need more time. However, that is not the case in most instances.
Some teachers will be much quicker at figuring out what is wrong than others.
