Hi guys
Well I know this can be annoying...questions from novices. But I feel that I
am so stuck I must ask. I simply cannot get my head tone together...I can only
barely achieve head tone....by going "Kaw Kaw Kaw" like a crow...I cannot hold
the kaw and make it a note...it becomes all breathy and non head toney. My
normal speaking voice ie VERY non nasal, and rich and chest centered. I am a
budding mezzo so I really need to get this down...how can I truly move forward
with no head tone? I am stuck an I am frustrated. The head tone I "thought" I
was making last week turned out to be chest tone (my voice teacher informed me
Wednesday when she heard me) I am one frustrated person who wants to sing my
little beginner aria..."Caro Mio Ben" but with no head tone I am just going no
where. I have tried making the squeeky door noise "eeeek" and I have tried
talking like Mickey Mouse..but it's not singing is it? Onve I try and sustain
a note it's all chest tone..and chest tone with my voice teacher in higher
notes is a no no.
