I used to never be able to access my whistle register, and, as a fuller mezzo, have always had a hard time with my top, as well. When I finally found a teacher who was able to teach me to access my top notes in a connected-to-speech way, all of a sudden I am popping out G's above F in alt. My goal now is to learn to sing the 2nd Queen of the Night aria like Nilsson used to do! (And, like Nilsson, I can only access these notes when I warm up my head voice A LOT.) I'm stoked. TinaO
